A Shared Life in Communion with God,

and through Him with Each Other!

Orthodox the oldest of all that call themselves Christian.

In the 20th c. alone, an estimated 40 million Orthodox Christians gave their lives for their faith!                                                 So high is the commitment of many Orthodox Christians to Christ, She has often been called “the Church of the Martyrs.”

She is the Church of all the great Christian theologians, scholars, and writers of antiquity like Athanasius, Ambrose, Basil, and Chrysostom, but also of such famous people as Dostoyevsky and Tchaikovsky. Even celebrities like Tom Hanks, and Jennifer Aniston. atheletes like Novak Djokovic, Troy Polamalu, and Alex Ovechkin.

The Orthodox Church is the original Christian Church, the Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ and described in the pages of the New Testament. Her history can be traced in unbroken continuity all the way back to Christ and His Twelve Apostles.

For over twenty centuries she has continued in her undiminished and unaltered faith and practice. Today her apostolic doctrine, worship, and structure remain intact, as She is a living, physical, and historical organism: the Body of Christ.

Throughout the world the Orthodox Christian church is organized and governed locally into various dioceses and jurisdictions. However, the Orthodox Church is One Church – one faith and communion.

Our common life together is based in the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus Christ.

“Orthodox” is a Greek word meaning "Correct-faith" and it has been used for centuries as an adjective along with "Church" to communicate the original Church from the heretical and schismatic groups. We read the Nicean Creed, wherein, we confess every Sunday that we are the "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church."

AHS embraces the gospel of Jesus Christ and is dedicated to the worship of the Holy Trinity.

The goals and values of our members are the fruits of the All Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

These goals demonstrate our dedication to the Christian life and our commitment to Christian witness.

A shared life in Communion with God and through Him with each other!

From the Church Fathers!

"The empty years of our desires separates us from our heavenly homeland, and our love for these desires, and our habits, clothe us in ugliness, what the Apostle calls "the old adam."  But, we who are wanderers in the journey of this life call out to God for help!  We must divest ourselves of this repulsiveness, and clothe ourselves with new desires, and form new habits, and foster a love for the Coming Age.  Through this, we will learn whether the Kingdom of God will be heaven or hell."  St. Herman of Alaska
